Roll Over effects?

First things 1st. Great CMS! Loving it's simplicity .

Ok now my question is, how would one go about creating a rollover effect such as the one used over here? I would like to implement this for my thumbnails but have no idea how to. I've tried to use this plugin but to no avail...

Hopefully someone could point me in the right direction :)
